My dear brother,

We, the students of class VI, went on an excursion on last Saturday to see the Old Portuguese Church on the bank of the Hooghly river. We travelled by a bus under the escort of three of our school teachers. The bus started at 7 am and returned to the school at 6pm on the same day. We carried our tiffin and packed lunch. We were thirty students in the group.

The construction of the church is unique. The glass windows have beautiful designs. There is a green lawn around the church. The church was built sometime during 18th century. We enjoyed the excursion very much. I'm so glad that I can write to you about my new experience in life.
